VeloCloud Partner Program Aims to Onboard Service Providers ASAP

The software-defined wide area networking (SD-WAN) vendor VeloCloud announced its new Ready Set GO program, which promises to spin up an end-to-end SD-WAN service for service providers in 30 days or less.

VeloCloud also today said it now has 50 service provider customers. Many of these customers have previously been announced such as AT&TSprintMacquarie Telecom, and Windstream. But some of the service provider names are new such as  Meriplex Communications, Netregy, Newcloud Networks, and Saicom.

The company’s new Ready Set GO program will allow service providers to quickly deliver VeloCloud’s SD-WAN services such as assured application performance, edge and cloud security, and automated policy.

Because most of VeloCloud’s SD-WAN functions — multitier management, multitenancy, and multisegment gateways and orchestrators — reside in the cloud, it is easy to extend these capabilities directly to service providers’ private network backbones, cloud data centers, and the enterprises they serve.

VeloCloud’s SD-WAN enables last mile broadband and circuits to access existing private backbones and to use their mid-mile connectivity to enterprise sites. The service provider SD-WAN package is deployed as an over-the-top (OTT) solution with on-premises SD-WAN hubs.

Additionally, cloud services or distributed on-premises services can be service chained with enterprise policies. These services can be deployed directly to the branch either on the VeloCloud virtual services platform or alongside a VeloCloud SD-WAN virtual network function (VNF) on a third-party virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE).

VeloCloud is a 100 percent channel-driven company. It has more than 150 channel partners including system integrators, resellers, managed service providers, and service providers.
